When the imported cargo arrived from the U.S. and the customer tried to declare them, they found that it contained some goods that could not be imported.
Coordination with related parties would probably have taken time. Further, it would also take time to adjust the shipper’s intentions. Would they ship everything back or import just some of the imported cargo? It was not possible to predict how long it would take to reach a conclusion.
However, if containers are stored at a terminal, large demurrage costs are incurred so the customer struggled over what to do.
We proposed temporary container storage upon trouble with imported cargo. In addition, we also provided support until resolution.

Trouble occurred with imported cargo and large demurrage costs were possible.

We proposed temporary storage at Nishihama Van Pool, which can handle any situation.
Firstly, to reduce demurrage costs at the terminal, we proposed container storage at our Nishihama Van Pool. Handling after that depended on the shipper’s request, but flexible handling is possible.
If they decided to import some of the cargo, it could be devanned at our warehouse. We could also do the drayage (van pool → warehouse → returning empty containers after devanning). Also, there were advantages even if they shipped everything back.
It was highly likely to take a long time to reach a conclusion so just storing the containers temporarily at Nishihama Van Pool led to a cost reduction. It also has a bonded area so storage of foreign cargo is possible so we told them the cargo could be stored there this time.

We realized reduced storage costs. In addition, our warehouse devanned the cargo that could not be imported.
We realized reduced storage fees by storing the containers temporarily at Nishihama Van Pool. In the end, some of the cargo was imported and the cargo that could not be imported was discarded so our warehouse carried out the devanning.
We arranged container transport and introduced a disposal company. The customer was not familiar with what to do in this irregular case so we provided support for the procedures and they were satisfied.
